Played 2 hours of ME2. I forgot how much more polished it is compared to part 1.

Just got to ilium and it’s pretty gorgeous.  Man, I forgot about the stupid dlc flying mako.  I decided to just get all the missions over with in one go and my damn fish died. Stupid flying mako! Of course I didn’t realize they were dead until after my secretary told me she’d feed them. First time I didn’t save my whole crew.

Think I’m on Colossus number 12 now.  I heard Bluepoint made the controls easier when climbing?  There’s some slightly frustrating bits, but once you figure out the one thing that’s needed to take one down, it’s pretty straightforward.

There’s a game in my PS+ library I should download.

I couldn’t tell you exactly what changes they made, but my run through the PS4 version was far smoother than my (fuzzy memory of) the PS2 original.

Yeah, the reworked the controls in the remaster as one of the biggest complaints about the original was the frustration in regards to trying to sale the colossi.  The PS4 edition has a much more modern set of controls to make it the climbing mechanics work a bit more predictably.  I was all for the changes myself as Team ICO games in general always had lose controls.

I've played a bit more Metroid Fusion and I've now just travelled down the second elevator. I do love the GBA era of gaming - there's something about that assuredness of the SNES style of gameplay and graphics with that awareness that most people will be playing for 30 minutes or so, at most.

I am however about a week away from having a load more free time, so I'll be flicking back to the PS4 (and maybe buy a few new Switch games) which means I should do my best to finish this soon so I don't drop off.

Mad Max

So much wasted potential. The sound is fantastic especially the cars and the combat is a Batman clone but there is to much emphasis on terrible side quests.

That game won @Commissar SFLUFAN's most forgettable game award for the year 2015!

I listened to so very many podcasts while playing that game.

Almost done Divinity:Original Sin -- I THOUGHT I was almost done.  But the Source Temple seems to go on forever - with boss fight, after boss fight, after boss fight.  None of them have been hard (I found some of the mid-game fights REALLY hard).  At this point, I just want the game to end.

I kind of got frustrated looking for something new to play, so on a whim I bought and downloaded the latest version of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition with all of the DLC. It cost me a fraction of a new game.

Ii remember playing this many years back and enjoying, remembering that at the time I had wished there was more content for it when I had finished it, and I didn't find very much that made the search worth it. Now, I'm really enjoying it again, and there's TONS of content for it now.

It was one of the best D&D games they did back in the day, and I'm really enjoying my run through it again years later. Plus, there are about 7 huge DLC content packs that offer so much more content than I had available way back then.

Finished the campaign mode in Wreckfest.  Kept putting the game down, but once I got further into it, the races started becoming a lot more chaotic and fun.  Not a bad racing game for people who enjoy them, but aren't too into the sim style of racing.  The music is garbage in the game though, it's all sorts of alternative butt rock and I swear for a huge duration of the game, all I heard were nearly the same two songs being played over and over again.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition - Jumping into the first game again felt great. It wasn't until I watched a comparison video that I realized just how much they did to it, but I did notice a few things on my own, like actually being able to use a sniper rifle (playing Vanguard).

I'm also using that handy quick resume feature on the XSX to bounce around to a couple of different things. I'll jump into Tetris Effect for 10 minutes or so at a time. I like it, but also every time I get into I think "I would rather play Lumines" which is probably blasphemous. I also finally got around to trying Gears Tactics. It's alright, but I'm not sure if I'll stick with it for long. The latest mission I played, which ended with the first boss fight, really felt like a slog to get through. I'm at a similar point with Code Vein. After a couple of hours, I'm kinda into it, but not sure if I'll stick with it for long.

I'm going old school simplistic as well - Final Fantasy. I bought that new bundle on Steam. I owned some version ages ago (I think the GBA cart that had 1 and 2) but barely played it. Since I dropped like $80 on these 6 games, I'm going to commit to finishing at least a couple of them. I've played a lot of FF over the years, but never actually finished one.

Decided to make @Bloodporne proud and play Super Metroid for the very first time.

Curious to see what impact it has how seeing just how many games copied it since. It's easy to forget that games with that kind of atmosphere, soundtrack, level design etc. just weren't really a thing at the time, at least not for console players. The main title theme alone blew me away with how dark it was.

I can definitely see how far ahead of its time it truly was, particularly in its attention to atmosphere.
