Playing lots of AC:Valhalla -- Probably 30-40% done.  I was really enjoying some of the new takes on the series early in the game -- but my enthusiasm is waning the more I play.

I'm feeling pretty much the same. Overall, fun game so I'm not going to complain to much.

Finished Hades for the first time yesterday with the Rail gun. Made the game a hell of a lot easier... gonn continue playing with the rest of the weapons as well. Also started Ass. Creed Odyssey back up, trying to get back into that. Also will continue Godfall and get that off my plater as well... it also gives me a reason to turn on my PS5.

How is Godfall?

I'm at the last dungeon of Alundra. I finished the annoying casino mini games (3 games, 2 are git gud, 1 is git lucky, win once to get a life vessel, win 4 times to get a golden falcon) and now I have all the golden falcons which I traded in for a wand which lets prevents me from attacking but lets grants unlimited magic so the remaining bosses should be a joke (water magic heals and attacks so I can spam it). The plan is to finish the game tomorrow.

At first I thought the minigames were going to be too much trouble but I managed to finish the first one (basically wack a mole but the enemies can spawn on you which damages you and interrupts you attack, you have to finish 5 rounds in a row with a higher hit target each round and do that 4 times). Even then I thought the other two minigames would be too much trouble but the second one is an archery shooting range and once I knew that some of the target you have to jump to hit (initially I thought the hit detection was awful) it was probably easier than the first one. The last one is a roulette game so it's luck based. However, speed runners found a good strategy for it. My first 3 attempts took less than the statistical average but the last one took longer but wasn't too bad.

With the best gear (including the best sword that I had to purposely die a bunch of times to get, a ring that slowly heals while standing still and the wand that gives unlimited magic) the rest of the game should be easy (I'm following a guide so I won't get lost in the final dungeon).

Unfortunately that repetition continues

But you can say that for most games. Valhalla has a bunch of side quests/activities that mix things up. You're not entirely incorrect about it being repetitious but like I said you can make that argument for a lot of games. I find it weak.

I finished Cyberpunk 2077 and started playing Undertale which is a charming, comedic, comical and cute 2D 8-bit pixel art style RPG where you play as a kid who fell into a monster underworld and you’re trying to get back home. It has a lot of humorous character interaction, a unique turn-based battle system and simple puzzles to solve along the way.

Naww, most gamss aren't like this... 100 hours of doing basically the same quest line over and over.

Played some PS4 for the first time since November - opted for Jedi: Fallen Order and will push to finish it next weekend and if I have some free time as my wife has started Links Awakening and it looks like my Switch time is reduced. I still have a few PS4 games I want to finish to see the generation out - so I’m hoping the sales continue till pay day.

Still playing Tsushima, I really like this game.

But I finally put Luigi's Mansion into my Switch today. What a great game. I only played an hour because I want to finish GoT before I lose myself in this.

I enjoyed the original on GC, but I never played Dark Moon. I definitely need to find a copy for my 2DS.

Dark Moon was cracking but I’m not sure how it would hold up going back to it after 3.

Been making my way through Fallen Order - my senses tell me I’m not far away from the end.

After making the mistake of letting my wife play my Switch - I’ve now not had it for the last 4 days as she’s flaying through Links Awakening. After Star Wars I might try The Fractured But Whole as I bought it months ago and it’s just sitting there.

Edit: more for Me - still to buy: Spider-Man, Control, Final Fantasy 7, Ghost of Tsushima and Doom Eternal.

Thoughts?

I enjoyed it and liked it better than the first one. In 2033 I didn't know about the moral points system until I looked up why I wasn't getting an option for the good ending and after briefly attempting a bit of stealth and failing, I just killed everyone in my way. In Last Light I played more stealthily, almost like playing an Arkham Batman game. Sometimes when I couldn't knock everyone out without being detected I would charge at people and knock them out even as they were shooting at me. My main complaint is not being able to save whenever I want. After getting the first game free on EGS, the second free on GoG, I guess I need the third one free on Steam :p

So I’ve played about 2 hours of the Fractures But Whole. So far, being a South Park fan, I’m enjoying it.

Also started Golf Story which so far seems perfectly nice.

btw that was originally typed out as gilf story...which I’m guessing is a very particular franchise only available on certain parts of Steam.

Desperados 3: Money for the Vultures DLC. This game was so much fun, and deserved so much more attention. The gameplay is fantastic, and very varied. Pairing peoples abilities makes you much more lethal, and Isabelle is both delightful, and the best character in the game. A Voodoo witch who can control people, as well as link the fates of enemies on opposing ends of huge maps, meaning you kill one, both die. So you can link two, control one, shoot one of the linked ones, both die, and the rest of the enemies gun down the controlled enemy as a traitor. (If nobody sees, then he passes out, and you can go kill him.

With Isabelle and cooper together, there are a million strategies you can use.

Great game, everyone should play it, especially if you have gamepass as I believe it is coming next month.
