silentbob
Just got myself an Oculus Rift 64GB and so I’m just playing with a couple demos (no Vader game unless I’m missing something) Need money to get some games but Half-Life is at the top of it. Anyone got other game recommendations for my PC VR gaming pleasure. Like the Batman VR is on CDkeys.com is like $7 and wondering if it’s worth it
Nokt
I started Witcher 3 again on the PC for the 8th time. I have a save file on Xbox, but the PC version just looks so much better and as dumb as hairworks is it really makes enemies like the griffin look so much better. I probably only average 90 frames with mostly everything set to high. I really think the game doesn't start off all that great. Everything in Kaer Morhen and White Orchard doesn't do anything to hook me. Its not until you hit the bloody baron quest line where the game really starts to shine. Which I think is why I was put off so many times before to play this game. That and I really didn't enjoy the combat at first. It felt really janky to me, but it gets better as you get use to it. Minecraft Dungeons is fun, but I'm constantly pushing the difficulty scale on missions (I've only done 4-5 missions, but am running IV-V difficulty). Its really hard without playing with friends. Constantly running out of arrows and you can't just blindly rush into a horde of enemies and expect to come out alright. Hopefully I can get some friends to purchase the game. gamer.tv
I've been putting some more time into the WW2 multiplayer (I'm not overly keen on the campaign, unless someone can tell me it has some amazing set pieces...I may just ignore it) and whilst enjoyable, I find myself frequently put off by the fact that new players are seemingly penalised for being new, by having awful gear. I'll persist, but I always go through the same routine with Call of Duty games where I'll enjoy them to about level 20 and then become disenchanted. I might download Battlefront 2 and see what that's like.
maddux4163
DS: Remastered doing well so far. Working on leveling up. Collecting items, weapons, etc Defeated the Taurus Demon. First try. (He’s obviously way too easy to cheese) But I’m mainly gathering important early game items (rings and weapons) for later on

heydude93
I'm determined to finish Obduction without looking up any hints or playthroughs. Unsurprisingly it's not going well so far
Bloodporne
Still TLoU Remastered in short bursts. I don't think I'm gonna make it, there are so many elements that annoy the shit out of me. I'm really trying too, I'm sick of hating like 70% of popular games. This type of Manhunt style stealth and the trial and error of combat arenas that comes with it isn't fun to go back to. crispy4000
Bouncing back and forth between Crash Trilogy Remastered (Crash 1) and Broken Age. Enjoying both of them. I think Crash just got on my nerves too much, I needed to switch off with something with no twitch difficulty.
TheLeon
I've been getting back into games after not being able to play much for months (carpal tunnel issues in both hands). I was excited to finally get started on Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The first game was one of my favorites from the last few years. I'm enjoying this one, but I'm also getting really frustrated at points. I've hit a boss that seems like a massive difficulty spike, and I'm not sure if I took the "wrong" path when I reached a story point where things branch out a bit (or maybe I just need to git gud). So I backed away from that and tried another path, only to hit a dead end. I'm going to go back and keep poking around. I'm sure there are obvious things I've missed. I just feel like my time with the first game went more smoothly. And in looking for a more calm, relaxing game to play, I settled on Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I thought I had played at least some of this back in the day, but I don't remember any of it.
gamer.tv
I've decided that Call of Duty just isn't for me any more. Gone are the days when I would ask for the latest version for Christmas, finish the Campaign on boxing day and put about 30 hours into the online. After being annoyed in WW2 by lag meaning the hits I thought had registered, in fact doing fuck all, and random explosions endlessly killing me in the campaign I've deleted it. I gave Battlefront 2 a go this morning and this is much more my style. I love the fact I can have an impact with individual fights, but it's more about the whole team, than one or two players. I'm sure I'll find something to hate in due course, but for now, this will do nicely.
Dre801
Wrapped up Tomb Raider(2013) - that makes three playthroughs on three different platforms, this time, PC(4K/60, baby!) Grabbed RE2 Remake for PC, so maybe I'll start that. . .or maybe I'll resume my AssCreed Odyssey playthrough. . .or maybe I'll start Control(finally snagged a copy.) skillzdadirecta
Still playing Sekiro. I have such a weird relationship with this game... I’m pretty sure I’m near the end but I have no idea how much of it is left. I’m also fairly certain the toughest bosses are in the rear view? At least I hope so. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

gamer.tv
Wife has just downloaded the latest Sims expansion, so I'll not be playing anything today, tomorrow though I'll carry on with the Battlefront 2 single player and online and then, in Horizon Zero Dawn it gave me the "if you choose to carry on from here, you can't go back" which sounds very endgame, so I'll polish off a few more side quests so I'm more powerful and then see what's the deal. I just beat the corrupted monk for the second time. I only recorded the second half of the fight, but I was stuck on this fucker for ma couple of days. He isn't even that hard and I had already beaten him once. I've been recording my fights with bosses and minibosses and may edit together a little montage when i finish the game. It's one of the most hate-love games ever possibly. The first Corrupted Monk on my first time was a legitimate near-controller-throw moment and took me days. That's a boss where I felt like the difficulty for its own sake was obvious. There's no reason at all you suddenly can't damage it from the front other than 'lol harder right???'. Anyway, the upcoming are is fantastic though. I love the atmosphere and aesthetically it's something fresh for From.

The second, non-ghost version of the fight has tree branches on both sides of the bridge. You can grapple into those when he disappears and once the arena becomes foggy, you can stealth-drop-kill onto him in, I think, the first two phases. I don't recall if there's a 'trick' to it but you can definitely stealth drop from the trees.

gamer.tv
I decided to push on with the Horizon Zero Dawn story and I'm in the end-game now. The decision now is what do I want to play once I'm finished. I think I'm content with large, open single player games for a little bit (I'll imagine I'll pick up Spiderman over the summer holidays) and I just want something I can dip into for 30 minutes a day as a break from working. I'm not sure what I fancy though, it's been ages since I touched anything in the sports/racing genre, same for decent online multiplayer games, so I'll do some reading and think about what I want from my free time. EDIT: I think I'm actually looking for games that have quite a steep learning curve, so I can invest some time, then develop over time. I may well re-download Rocket League, but that sometimes feels like the step up is ridiculous.

crispy4000
I agree, tell us some of your backlog and we can help. Played some A Short Hike yesterday. Really wonderful little game with perfect controls. SaysWho?
Persona 5 Royal I must be close to 50 hours in and it feels so good to be back in this world with these characters. There's been plenty of new content, but apparently, there's much I haven't seen. I know nothing about it so I'm looking forward to the surprises. AbsolutSurgen
Just finished Witcher 2. - Great graphics for its age - Better story than I expected (writing and voice acting were passable compared to terrible in the first game) - Combat was generally fun, but suffered from inconsistent difficulty - Buggy as hell. Any game that requires you to manually delete saves to prevent crashes to desktop needs a patch - Generally pretty impressive given its age Trying to decide what to tackle next from my backlog - go straight into Witcher 3, or restart games I didn’t get very far in (GTAV, MGS V, Spider-Man, Xcom ) or something new (Just Cause 4, Wolfenstein:Youngblood, Divinity, DMC5, Nioh). AbsolutSurgen
I'm ~5 hours into Witcher 3. What is really shocking to me is how different all 3 games are -- they seem to share very little in game mechanics. They have the same characters, same potions, and signs. But, how they are implemented seems to be completely different in each game. I'm not sure I have ever seen a franchise vary this much from game-to-game. I am enjoying it so far, but my biggest surprise was that the game isn't an open world game. Still way too early to have any good thoughts/impressions on the gameplay.
