Oh! I never heard of it but looked it up. It's a MMORPG. It reviewed pretty well overall. I think there is a 4 hour free trial.

Double vision in one eye that I think I haven't had before.  I went into one vision place that claimed I always had it and just hadn't noticed until now, and likely will always have to deal with some double vision because they couldn't figure me out.  Set an appointment with a specialist on Tuesday.

 

Today, I think I found the probable cause.  A stye right smack in the middle of my upper eyelid, continually rubbing against my cornea.  Little fucker.

 

So yeah, hopefully come Tuesday this specialist can set me straight.

I haven’t been locked into any one game for a while. Played Stalker 2 for a while today but didn’t make much progress. Still slowly chipping away at Metaphor. Picked up Vampire Survivors again for some quick action. Playing a lot of Balatro while watching TV that I don’t really need to focus on.

Yep, it's what I thought.  They drained that garbage, my eyes should heal within 2-4 weeks hopefully.  So maybe by Christmas I'll see much better.

Last night while distracting myself I checked the PS+ monthly games for December and was pleasantly surprised to see Temtem as one of the games. I never got around to picking it up so I gave it a download. I feel like I'm playing nothing but Pokemon knockoffs lately.

 

I think I'm enjoying it a but more than Palworld but I also think that's coming down almost entirely to expectations. I feel like the internet sold me on Palworld as 'Pokemon but online, 3D and with guns' but what I got was 'Don't Starve but in 3D and with monster companions'. Which I'm fine with but it's not what I expected. This feels exactly as advertised by online gamers. It was promised as online Pokemon and it is exactly online Pokemon.

A lot of Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 and Portal. Also playing Blops6 on SeriesX & one the ROG ALLY X Via cloud streaming! very impressed by how well Blops6 runs and plays via cloud streaming, something i have never even a second look at until I bought a PSPortal on a whim! pretty cool.

A bit more Animal Crossing, aiming to get the shop in town (we now have a museum). Daughter asked to play so she ran around for 20 minutes picking up things, catching fish and using the vault stick thing. Also played some Zelda: EoW. It’s a good little game for far, evocative of that time on the DS when Nintendo kept releasing entries into big series but felt like they had to do something massively different - but this isn’t shit, unlike most of those.

Should finish NG+ Ultra Hard of Horizon Zero Dawn remastered tonight. Probably just jump into Forbidden West while it's fresh in my mind. Only ever played it the first week it came out and then Elden Ring came out and I forgot all about it. Heard it looks great on the pro. 

 

Also going to try and start an initiative to get to all these 2D/indie games I keep saying I'll get to but never do. So I'm starting with the Dragon Quest 3 remake thing since I recently blew $60 on it only because I want to buy all Square remakes until they get the hint and give me my fucking Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster/make whatever I don't give a shit I just need it already.

I beat Super Mario RPG yesterday, and I just beat Culex for the first time ever.

Wanted to play NFL Gameday 2001 out of morbid curiosity. I remember this being pretty bad back in the day, I think I even may have rented it. Boy it is bad. You can't adjust your depth charts. If you start "GM Mode" the game starts off with the NFL draft and you can't look at your roster, you just have to kind of wing it based on what it tells you at the beginning. Then when you play the game the play art is all ugly and confusing. You can't zoom the camera out at the line to see your routes or even what button to press for the receiver and then they can't seem to catch the ball, they run away from it. Awful.

 

Also this is pre Brady, got Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning in there though.

For the most part, I'm still playing Yakuza on Switch. I will probably end up beating this one before trying to Switch over to the Portal to tackle the PS4 games I still need to play.

 

I also started up Ys 8 on Vita even though I spent a decent amount of time on the switch port. The game feels awesome on the Vita and I always love finding an excuse to play my Vita again.

Continuing Horizon Forbidden West this weekend. When it first came out I didn't really vibe with it. Must have been because I knew Elden Ring was coming out a week later, which literally consumed my life for nearly 6 months. I'm really enjoying it now. I should probably stop trying to do everything though, there is a ton of shit to do in this game.
