Bloodporne Posted January 20, 2020 Share Posted January 20, 2020 And just to clarify, I didn't dislike the Suspiria remake simply because it's a Suspiria remake. I actually thought the initial trailer was extremely atmospheric and exciting and I felt similarly about the film's initial set up, give or take the first 45 minutes to hour. It just crashed and burned spectacularly after that for me, in a way that actively made me fucking angry after all that wait and promise especially considering how tastefully crafted I thought Call Me By Your Name was. In short, I really wanted to like it and I thought the transition to Berlin, the grim commie aesthetics and the actual academy set were all great changes.
