Remarkableriots Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 This year is my first time going to a work Christmas dinner and it was at a fancy restaurant. I had Mushrooms stuffed with Escargot with Blue Cheese, Coconut Prawns, Seared Ahi Tuna, Dungeness Crab Cakes and Elk steaks. They even gave us a Christmas bonus which i have never had before. It's nice working for a locally owned company with owners that care about the employees. 2 Quote

noey jerd Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 My wife's job used to have a huge party for everyone and their SOs... Now it's just the workers. I don't get to go! It's tonight actually. Quote
Dodger Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 We get a crappy lunch. We also just got an email yesterday about toning down the Christmas decorations at peoples desks. Quote

You don't know how good you currently have it until you "experience" the diametric opposition to your description! Quote

Biggie Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Yes. I attended it last night. It was catered by Moe’s Southwest Grill. Basically a self serve taco/burrito bar. It was really good. Quote
Chris- Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Yeah, it's literally just a party at a colleague's house. My girlfriend's is at an incredibly expensive social club downtown, but they are the same night, and since I start a new job next month we've elected to go to mine. Quote
Brian Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Company Xmas party was held during work hours in the middle of a financial close so I was unable to attend. Quote

Guest Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 We have mostly younger employees, so our managers tend to do games and gifts and such for our Christmas parties. They have a good time with it. Quote

Triage Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 I get $10 a person and I coordinate with my employees when and what they want. We usually get food during work hours since no one wants to after work. This year we did Mexican and had to pitch in a bit. I used to go to these long ago and people just didn't known how to behave drinking or drinking and cheating on spouses or driving drunk. So the company stopped. Quote
