GeneticBlueprint
I'm visiting the Seattle area where I grew up. I always forget that there are absolutely no billboards on I-5. Which is very different from the greater Salt Lake City area where I live now and there are billboards every five feet on I-15.
TheLeon
I noticed that visiting home was a lot less miserable after my dad died.

CastlevaniaNut18
Wondering how I ever lived there for the first 23 years of my life. On a smaller scale, it’s weird sleeping in my old bedroom. My brother took it over when I moved out and it’s all decked in camo. It’s actually really well done, though. He’s since moved out and the design is the same, but it never feels like the room I slept in and my sanctuary for 17 years. We’re headed there right now, actually. johnny
It doesn’t even feel like I lived there. Part of it is probably because my mom is the type to constantly update rooms with flooring, furniture, paint, etc. so it looks way different. Nokra
For me it feels a bit like a time capsule. My parents haven't changed my room since I went off to college, really, which was in 2003, so 16 years ago. I still have a Quake III poster on my wall, my family's annual Christmas cards since 1999 on the bulletin board, etc. I left for college, then left to live in North Carolina for a couple years, and then went to Germany, so I haven't really had a great place to store my shit. Now I'm living with friends in Portland, so I still don't, and the time capsule will remain undisturbed.
