This takes players to Eastern Europe with new campaigns. Later this year, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition gets co-op historical battles that feature handpicked campaign missions and historical battles to play with friends. And finally, on 13th April Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition gets its first major update, the United States civilisation. This new civ features a new home city, nine new units, a new age-up mechanic, and more. The US civilisation is free for a limited time for those who complete a 50 State Challenge (players need to complete up to three challenges per day and unlock the civ on the completion of the last challenge). Alternatively, the US civilisation can also be bought as premium DLC. Another update for Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition is planned for later this year, and includes African civilisations. It's looking really good. I've been sinking a lot of time into Age of Empires 3 DE multiplayer and this is all just too good to be true to have new civs for AOE3 and now AOE4 coming out! I don't know why some people do not like the graphics. I think they look great. Maybe I'm not that picky since I think AOE3 graphics are nice looking still. I think I’m playing too much AoE3, but damn more people should be excited. Aoe2 and 3 definitive editions are really great. The developers are patching and balancing them regularly making multiplayer a blast. I’ve always loved competitive rts online, so I couldn’t be more pleased with theses games and the effort going into aoe4. I can’t speak to the single player. It’s been so long since I’ve played an Age of Empires game that I needed the extra tutorial help, the engaging historical videos, and the narration that kept me playing through the single-player campaign. I think this game is accessible and easy to learn, but it’s also got a lot of depth for real-time strategy veterans. I hope it does well because I want to see more RTS games hit the market.
