So many people will get the wrong idea on this headline thinking these very common games are worth a fortune.

I didn't get mine until Christmas '88.

I think I got mine Xmas 87" I got Mike Tyson's Punch Out along with the pack in games Gyromite and Duck Hunt.

I didn't know the NES existed until 89 and didn't get one till 91 (a year before getting a SNES).

I remember my dad bringing home the bundle that had R.O.B. Those were fun times.

I remember preferring the skeet shooting option over Duck Hunt.  My friends and I played that shit for hours.

Wow, times flies when you’re cursing at the TV because that stupid crow came swooping in without warning and knocked you back into a bottomless pit and killing you instantly for the 54th time in a row GOD DAMN YOU NINJA GAIDEN....!!!!!!

... its crazy to think I managed to put some time on all these consoles (mostly through the nintendo lineage)

 

though i did put time playing some turds.. ET, Pacman on Atari 2600.... dash galaxy on NES wasnt exactly roses either..

My first system.

I got mine for my birthday... I had the deluxe system that came with R.O.B. Gyromite, The Light Gun and Duck Hunt. Good times. It was NOT my first system though... that honor went to the Colecovision a few years before.

I had fun during thanksgiving teaching my Cousin's kids about the system. We played SMB and they all completed level 1. That level is great in teaching you the game. Run and Jump is the key. They also enjoyed Balloon Fight and Bubble Bobble. I showed them Castlevania. Then we played the SNES mini. It was so good to have them start on the NES mini. Finally a good use for these for me. They are small and easy to hook up to others TVs.

It was my first system, though I didn't get one til '90 or maybe it was '91. It came with Super Mario Bros 3 and two controllers.
