I've really been enjoying going through Seinfeld. I never really saw the whole series. My parents would watch it when I was growing up and I remember catching occasional episodes, but watching it in order has been a treat. Most of it holds up pretty well, though there are a few things that are definitely dated. For example, it always makes me chuckle when the plot device is "couldn't reach you because you were out". Cell phones killed that trope.

So real quick on the last part, I actually used to think that way, but I feel like if you have any kind of period piece before cell phones became widespread, then it’s still an easy one to pull off. Because even episodes of Frasier start to use cell phones in the late 90s.

I’m also jealous that you’re going through it for the first time. There’s nothing quite like it. Going from season one to season two was a huge jump in quality, and then threes a huge jump, and then you get to four and you’re like calm down! You guys are out of control!

Yeah to be clear, I don't find it any less enjoyable or count it as a point against the show. I realize that it's a legit plot device of the time. It just makes me laugh to see the change; now I guess people would just say "my battery was dead!". :p

I've never cared for or watched Seinfeld. I'm on episode 2 this is hilarious

One of the few shows that, in my opinion at least, keeps getting better and better. It gets more and more absurd and surreal in the last few seasons and it's great.

My wife is going through the show for the first time and I've caught a lot of episodes with her. I know almost every episode by heart at this point and it's still hilarious. The acting and writing is just too good.

Going through it for the first-ish time (first time front to back even though I watched episodes back in the day) was an experience. I get excited just to hear someone is discovering it.
