I’ve tried the $30 shoes from Target, the $170 shoes from a fancy running store, and everything in between. I’ve had some luck with ASICS and I’m wearing some New Balance now that are fine, but the average pair only lasts me a couple of months before they start to fall apart. I need to find some comfortable new shoes also because i'm on my feet at work a lot and i have to walk between bus stops to get to and from work. I'll be stocking at my new job. I still have several pairs, though I haven't worn them in years. I should probably get rid of them, but they're still in good shape and I hate to toss them, plus I get a little sentimental when I look at them on occasion.
