I honestly think none of this would bother me as much if they didn't go by their user handles.

I mean, even The Rock started going by Dwayne Johnson after seeing how silly it was that everyone was calling him Mr. The Rock.

That's my old man gripe.

Ok Mr. XxEvil AshxX!

I'm not a "celebrity". If I was, I'd want everyone to call me by my name, not Evil Ash.

Well I’m sure if he wanted people to use his real name he’d change his name.

There are a few Dota players who did that. Swindlemelonzz, for instance, changed his name to just Kyle (which is also his real name)

All my gamer friends call me by my gamertag, so it's pretty normal for them to stick with their handles.  Most of the people that play with Ninja call him Ninja.  Some closer friends call him Tyler.

Hell even my closest friends I grew up with, when we gamed we referred to each other by our tags not names.

Shrouds a big move for Mixer for sure.  They need a stable of big names to get viewership up.

You must get lots of strange looks at restaurants/bars when you go out with them.

Gamer Friends.... People I play with online.

I went to a PAX with some Streamers, and everyone referred to eachother by their Streamer names.

But my gamertag is same here, so they just call me JP regardless, easy enough.
