  1. 1. Will the House attempt impeachment within the 2019 calendar year?

You know who else is turning out in droves? All the fucking people who voted Democrat last year. And a whole hell of a lot of that was sheer hatred of this racist trash of a president. They won combined house of rep state votes in PA,WI,MI and several statewide races. For God's sake Texas and Georgia are redish-leaning purple as well. And this past midterm had some of the highest turnout in a long time, and next year will be similar.

There is no centrism with this president. He's made it very clear if you're not his base, he doesn't give a shit about you at all. Moderation with him is ignoring the racism, sexism, and everything else that would get you fired from literally every other job in this country while you hope that nothing happens medically to your family while voting for someone who says they'll make your in network deductible 7% lower for the next year (don't talk out of network though!)

If the turnout in 2020 is anything like 2018, then the Democrats win the Presidency easily, keep the House, and have a decent (but probably not even) shot of taking the Senate.

Pretty much this, the GOP base showed up and then some in 2018, still got crushed by 9 points nationally, and polls show interest in this election is at levels usually seen days before the actual vote day.

The real danger for the Democrats is suppressing the turnout of their own base by refusing to do what a lot of the blue wave feels they elected the Democrats to do.

They were elected to vote on kitchen table issues that will die in the Senate, not to vote on impeachment that will die in the Senate.

Literally the only meaningful thing they're actually accomplished was by being there and stopping even more legislative nonsense from the right.
