I smell another strong commercial performer for Bethesda, right up there with the previous Wolfenstein games, Dishonored 2, and Prey!

Last time this happened with Rage, I was accused of simply not following the proper social media channels to see release info, but uh, Bethesda has not tweeted about Youngblood at all recently, as its feed is all Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Blades. Neither has Arkane, who is working on Youngblood. Rather you have to follow Machine Games, the other dev on it, or literally the Wolfenstein account itself to see any Youngblood info. The same goes for YouTube, where Bethesda’s last uploaded video was for Elder Scrolls Online two weeks ago.

Ah, why NOT spend millions upon millions of dollars on a game's development over multiple years just to not even Tweet about it (which is literally free marketing, and super low effort, however small) and then cry about your commercial failures?

I hope Microsoft or Sony can do a rescue buy of Arkane and Machine Games.  If not, their futures don’t look bright with Zenimax. 

 

Side note: Prey is $7 on Steam. Great game

Hell yes I knew it was coming out!  Not sure if I'll get it immediately though, since I likely won't have somebody to play cooperatively with.  I'll wait until I hear impressions about what it's like to play solo first.

I knew it was coming but I agree, zero marketing for this game. 

 

I pre-ordered the deluxe edition so I can play with someone else who doesnt have the game! :mdancing:

The Wolfenstein subreddit is tearing it apart. Not sure if this was before a day one patch but, tons of bugs and glitches where a bunch of people literally stopped playing and put the game away until they release a patch. 

 

Sounds like the AI really dumb and playing solo becomes a chore because of it. 

 

My copy comes today, not sure if Im going to keep it or return it.
