Pikachu
Quote A mysterious serial killer stalks the streets of modern-day Paris. The body count rises, and the police are no closer to catching the culprit. You are a taxi driver and survivor to the killer’s most recent attacks, having barely escaped with your life. You have seven nights to help find the killer, or the police will pin it on you. These next few shifts will be far from ordinary or safe… Night Call is a narrative-driven noire investigation game. You are no detective, but you do have a gift. Around you, people feel more at ease. They talk. They share their thoughts, their emotions, their stories… their secrets. To passengers, you are more than just a driver; you are also a friend, a confidant, a shrink. A voyeur catching a glimpse under the masked but very real lives throughout the City of Light. And you’ll need to play these roles well if you want to catch the killer. Use the limited time you have available each night to gather clues while earning money to pay your bills. Drive passengers to their destinations, hear their stories, and choose your responses carefully. Follow the right leads to uncover new info about the suspects, and don’t forget to make enough money to buy gas and pay your bills. Can you solve the mystery before it’s too late? Better hurry—both the clock and the meter are running…

Commissar SFLUFAN
Reviews off to a bit of a mixed start: Game Information Game Title: Night Call Platforms: PlayStation 4 (Jul 16, 2019) Xbox One (Jul 16, 2019) PC (Jul 16, 2019) Nintendo Switch (Jul 16, 2019) Trailer: Publisher: Raw Fury Review Aggregator: OpenCritic - 67 average - 33% recommended Critic Reviews GameSpot - 8 / 10 Quote Night Call is an absorbing noir adventure with plenty of heart. GameWatcher - 8 / 10 Quote Night Call is interesting in ways most games aren't. It's a game that humanizes people that usually get mockery. It's so good at this that it overshadows the serial killer stuff. It can lose its steam thanks to some repetitive gameplay, but its shorter length prevents it from dragging on. Its design choices will turn away action-oriented players, but it's a pleasant surprise if you want more compassion in your crime fiction. DualShockers - 7 / 10 Quote Become the Batman of taxi cab drivers as you try to solve a neo-noir murder mystery. PC Gamer - 65 / 100 Quote Haphazard gameplay and varying narrative quality put a damper on Night Call's strong mood and hints of brilliance. God is a Geek - 6 / 10 Quote A title that grabs your attention and has you hooked almost immediately. But after a while, the repetition and constraining design choices will put you off. IGN Italy - Italian - 6 / 10 Quote Night Call is an interesting thriller adventure. With good atmosphere and promising mechanics, its "noir" side shows the madness and the difficulties of the nights in Paris. Sadly there are some problems with the general pacing and all the management side is poor. TechRaptor - 5.5 / 10 Quote Night Call is a game filled with good ideas, but terrible execution. Great characters and exploration are let down by superfluous mechanics and a lack of meaningful choices. Eurogamer - Recommended Quote Atmosphere rules in this narrative game about a cabbie on the trail of a killer. Rock, Paper, Shotgun - Unscored Quote So, it’s a game with two key strands that feel forced together when they don’t really work in tandem. I like both ingredients in theory, but they don’t coalesce successfully, like how a vinaigrette salad dressing will separate into oil and vinegar until you shake it up again. Keyser_Soze
I played this VIA Game Pass, and I finished the first case. I liked it. It's kind of like Crazy Taxi meets a visual novel I suppose. I was actually surprised I got the first case right. The second case sounds like it's more randomized so that will be interesting.
