She's basically a psycho and dresses even worse...

The late 80’s early 90’s were a super rough time for women’s fashion.

Also we should have a 30 year reunion post to celebrate when an in-his-late 30’s Seinfeld started fucking a high schooler IRL. That scene where Denise Richards is playing a 15 year old with cleavage is perhaps too real in hindsight.

Well, uh...at least she was the age of consent?

I Googled it to refresh my memory on it, and apparently he'd routinely pick her up from her parents' house. So they were presumably fine with it too, which seems even weirder.

Everything about a super wealthy, mega popular celebrity fucking a high schooler is super weird.

As a 38 year old I cannot possibly fathom meeting a high school junior and thinking, “yeah this is who I should be spending my time with.”

I love how the last few seasons of Seinfeld showcased this theme of Elaine's life going downhill. I mean compare the stuff she was doing in the last few seasons and where she stood compared to the first few seasons; she was a mess. :p

I wasn't saying the rest of it wasn't weird too.

Although if you've seen pictures of her I don't think it's a big mystery what made him interested. :p

So I was watching some episodes yesterday, and caught the one where Kramer is constipated. In attempt to work that out, he’s at the coffee shop and orders cold cereal. I think we see Jerry eating cereal there too at some point.

Is this a thing? Growing up in NJ there were diners with menus not unlike Monk’s everywhere and I don’t recall ever seeing anyone order cereal there.

I grew up in and around Philadelphia and I've never seen that at a diner so I'm not sure. NYC it may be possible tho . . .

I would never order it at a diner but I'm pretty sure they usually have cereal in one of these two kinds of packaging on-hand (maybe on the kids' menu?):

I've definitely had a side of cereal at a diner now and then for breakfast. Nothing I really see often or anything but they certainly offer it, yeah. Maybe used as some in-joke in the show?

Jerry is a pretty big fan of cereal and it was used as a plot point when he got married to Janeane Garofalo on that one episode, among other moments (sometimes he'll randomly pour himself a bowl while talking to people.)

I forgot he always has fifty thousand boxes of various cereals in his apartment as well.

PS: What heathen goes to a diner and doesn't order legit American breakfast?

I just realized this is the same episode as the soup with Bania.

Damn fine episode.

I did that a lot with this show. I would think of a bunch of different storylines that I thought were really funny, thinking they were all from different episodes and then I catch a rerun and realize that a bunch of them were grouped together in their own episode. Most recently, last week, was the 'You're shmoopy. No, you're shmoopy.' being the same episode as the Soup Nazi.
