CayceG Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Took these pictures this morning: This happened in the park adjacent to my office in the early hours of the morning, apparently. The paint was still wet when I got down there this morning. This statue has its own wikipedia page, would you believe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confederate_Private_Monument Erected in 1909 under lost causer-ism! 1 Quote
mclumber1 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 I think if they had graffitied "traitors" instead of "racists" it would have more impact to the people who still support (or sympathize with) the Confederacy. Also call them losers. Because they were. Quote

Lost causerism is a perpetuation of white supremacy, and so is defending it. Quote
LazyPiranha Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 I say we just put giant “Participant” medals next to every confederate monument. 1 Quote

thewhyteboar Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Just make sure to fly the Confederate flag next to any monuments to traitors: Quote
