Are you implying/supporting the idea of gun owners overthrowing a Biden presidency?

No.  I'm saying a bunch of hypocritical "2nd amendment types" will get their panties in a wad over Biden now being President.  They should have been upset this entire time.

Just like how those types never complained about the Patriot Act or anything, but all of a sudden took up arms and formed the Tea Party once the president was a scary black man.

Really good thread on how shitty police unions are.

The idea of unions is solidarity with others, strength in numbers. "The union makes us strong" as the song goes.

Police violate that creed by not standing with other union members in their time of need, and with their history of actively fighting unions on behalf of management. The strength of police comes from their monopoly of legal, state force and solidarity amongst themselves, not solidarity with the greater labor movement. They have no place alongside traditional labor unions.

Being a BAD labor union doesn’t make you not one. They absolutely rely on strength in numbers to protect the interests of the members of their union.

Why is it so few people are capable of understanding that something can be good overall, but not good in every situation?

Unions and union protections would do wonders in many corners of America right now because we have a massive problem of workers having little or no protection and employers having all of the power.  Is that true of EVERY profession?  No.  Can strong unions be used for bad purposes?  Yes.
