(Nintendo aside) There's never been a worse E3 for current year games

I'll probably get Fire Emblem. I haven't bought a switch game since Octopath Traveler.

Same story with Octopath for me. But I’ll be picking up Torna this week during the E3 sale.

Well, people can bitch about other stuff all they want, for me this is the best E3 ever between Square and Nintendo. A release date for Links Awakening and FF7R. A BotW sequel, everything else Nintendo showed. Dragon Quest XI on Switch. Theres more, but that's more than enough for me in the next year. I only play a few games a year. This was great.

That's probably why you're not as cranky as some of us. Honestly, it's pretty telling that the biggest and most memorable games this year were remakes of old games, ports of ones that already existed, and dlc to games that are already out. That's not a knock against Nintendo or Squeenix, it's a knock against the industry as a whole.
