Well, patch 1.1, a patch they put on their roadmap, is just bug fixes. Kinda underwhelming.

Patch 1.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available!

Patch Notes

Spoiler
Patch 1.1
In this update we focused on various stability improvements, which you can find outlined in the patch notes below. We will continue this work in patch 1.2 and other upcoming updates. At the same time we will keep fixing the bugs you encounter and listening to your feedback on how to improve the overall game experience.

Stability
Various stability improvements including:
  • Memory usage improvements in various systems within the game: characters, interactions, navigation, in-game videos (news, tv, etc.), foliage, laser effects, minimap, devices, AI, street traffic, environmental damage system, GPU-related, and more.
  • Various crash fixes (related to, among others, loading saves, game opening/closing and Point of No Return).

Quests/Open World
  • Fixed an issue where calls from Delamain would end immediately and seem like they cannot be picked up in Epistrophy.
  • Fixed an issue where players would not receive calls from Delamain when approaching relevant vehicles in Epistrophy.
  • Fixed an issue where the objective could get stuck on "Answer the call from Mr. Hands" in M'ap Tann Pèlen.
  • Fixed an issue where Judy could teleport underground in Pyramid Song.
  • Fixed an issue where it would be impossible to talk to Zen Master in Poem of The Atoms.
  • Fixed an issue where Takemura wouldn't call in Down on the Street.
  • Fixed an issue where Jackie could disappear in The Pickup.
  • Fixed an issue where it could be impossible to get out of the car in The Beast in Me: The Big Race.
  • Fixed an issue where players could stop receiving calls and messages after moving too far away from A Day In The Life area.
  • Fixed an issue where opening the package wouldn't update Space Oddity.
  • Retro-fixed the saves affected by a rare issue where speaking to Judy in Automatic Love would be impossible due to an invisible wall. The underlying issue is under investigation.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from collecting the reward in Gig: Freedom of the Press. The quest will auto-complete for those who could not collect the reward previously, and the reward will be provided automatically.
  • Fixed an issue where Delamain would remain silent throughout Epistrophy if the player initially refused to help him.

UI
  • Fixed an issue where prompt for exiting braindance could be missing.
  • Removed an invalid item from loot.

Visual
  • Fixed an issue where a grenade's trajectory could be displayed in photo mode.
  • Fixed particles' hue appearing pink when viewed close up.
  • Fixed cars spawning incorrectly in Reported Crime: Welcome to Night City.

Achievements
  • Fixed an issue where completing one of the assaults in progress in Santo Domingo would sometimes not contribute towards progression for The Jungle achievement, preventing its completion.

Miscellaneous
  • Addressed the issue responsible for saves getting oversized (related to the modifier indicating if the item is crafted), and trimmed the excess size from already existing saves (note: this won’t fix PC save files corrupted before 1.06 update).
  • Fixed an issue where input could stop registering upon opening the weapon wheel and performing an action.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Continue" button in the Main Menu could load an end game save.

PC-specific
  • It will now be possible to obtain achievements while in Steam offline mode. Note: Offline mode needs to be enabled before starting the game. This change does not work retroactively.
  • Addressed the game startup crashes related to loading cache on NVIDIA graphics cards.

Last night, CD Projekt Red dropped the first major update for its troubled open-world shooter, Cyberpunk 2077. “Major” is a relative term. While larger than previous updates, yesterday’s patch 1.1 focuses more on stability fixes rather than a wide-ranging overhaul. In fact, it may have even made the game worse—by introducing a potentially game-breaking bug.

Oopsie.

I saw some folks on reddit reporting this too

EDIT: Actually I just read the bug... that's an existing bug. I had that happen to me in my playthrough. I had to basically reload an earlier save and it go back about an hour or so and replay that section again for it to work. This game is a cluster fuck.

Yup. And reading Jason Schreiers report, devs told them it wasn't ready. Hell, they announced the original April release with no warning to the dev team. The team was shocked, because they were expecting a late 2021 to early 2022 release. This is the worst management I've seen in a long time.

When game companies go public, they are no longer in charge of their own destiny. It stops becoming about the games, and instead is about constant profits.

Cyberpunk is a great game, outside the bugs, but it could have been amazing. Its still one of my favorites this year.

yo so 3080/3080 owners if you aren’t already rt ultra and dlss performance at 1800p is the sweet spot. It looks 4kish enough, you get ultra settings, and it’s mostly 60fps for me with slight dips here and there that I probably wouldn’t notice without the counter and some close ups in convo in scenes heavy in shadow (also wouldn’t notice). It’s pretty flawless performance wise even with lots of traffic, pedestrians, crashing, etc. It’s p unreal looking running this well really.

Edit: I did have to do some annoying stuff with cru to get hdr working at 1800p but I think on newer tvs that won’t be an issue.

Are you playing the game or just messing with it with your new tech?

Mostly just messing with the tech after playing far enough to have full roam to bench stuff. But Im pretty happy with where I have everything now so I’ll probably be able to actually play pc games soon.

So what’s the deal with all the doors to places in the city being locked? Does it open up at some point and you can go to more interiors in the open world?

I kinda assumed that the density was not just the architecture of the city but also you could go in buildings like a fallout or something.

Seems like kind of a half step to a really dense city if that’s how it stays but also why do they even bother telling you they are locked it like all of them are.

On the plus side the city is actually a lot more expansive than I pictured, I thought it was going to be tighter but it’s more of a real open world city than I thought. Driving around at this fidelity is just something else.

I mean it has inside locations but if you are walking down the street and see a bunch of stores they are all closed and have doors that say locked. I was hoping all those locked doors would be places you could go in, or at least like a lot of them. This doesn’t seem any more so than other open world games in regards to interior quantity in the open world.

Yeah, many reviews mention the lack of interior and how everything is locked. Usually, the only locked doors you can get into have a stat requirement. Some require a key card or passcode and I think all of those have a little electronic device next to the door. So, if you don't notice a keypad or stat check it can't be opened.

I mean, there are also the locked doors that are locked for story purposes and only unlock when progressing in a mission, but you usually don't encounter those while exploring. Although, I did enter this area that was meant for a side quest before I had the side quest and I unlocked all the doors and that made it so every bit of dialogue played all at once, once I made it to that area in the side quest.

damn I played through the heist mission through the title screen displaying, up until you get to the open world again last night and everything about it was amazing.

I’m definitely hooked on this now. and yeah  really nothing else on its level at the moment graphically, it’s big enough of a leap that it actually excites me. Shit like how good the water rolling across the reflective window surfaces looks just makes me so hard.

Yeah that mission is definitely where it starts firing.

Be careful modding the game, guys. Apparently some open a back door that lets you get hacked, for real. :|

He's extremely immature and obnoxious. I never take his reviews seriously but rather for entertainment.
