Microsoft How's Metro Exodus

Recommended Posts

I just bought it last night but it only dl before I went to bed. I'm in the middle of my second play through re2 remake but then I'm gonna play Metro.

For those that played it, how is it? Do I need to know what happened in the last two to fully appreciate the game?

So it's pretty I take it? How's the gameplay and story?

That was a impulse buy for you. Usually you take weeks before pulling the trigger on a game.

Spoiler

I haven’t played it

Pretty much this. I’ve only played a very tiny bit to see how beautiful the ray tracing GI is. I do plan to actually play it some day.

It's a good game.  I played it without knowledge of the first two, and it does a really great job of recapping the story in way that feels natural and cinematic.  The gameplay can be rough around the edges, and the shooting I found to be sluggish overall, but the environment and the atmosphere are really top-notch, and despite the awkward and stilted dialogue, it's an interesting and well-told story.  If you approach it with the understanding that it's an ambitious and creative but flawed game, you'll have a great time.

I guess I'll let you know how it is then. I'm already near the end of my 2nd run in re2.

He's probably playing on PS4 or Xbone so that's not going to affect him.

I'm playing it on the xbox one x. It's my type of genre but I'll go into it cautiously. I'm in a gaming mood so I'll enjoy it I'm sure.

If you don't like the voice acting/dialogue switch it to the native Russian with subtitles. It adds a heck of a lot to the atmosphere.

I honestly can't imagine playing it any other way!

I think I started playing in Russian and then I saw someone streaming the game or something and people were talking in English and I was like wtf?
