The art style is heavily influenced by Spanish Catholic folklore.

I'm pretty burnt out on pixel art games, but at least this one has some style to it. It leans more toward the early Playstation era of 2d graphics as opposed to 8 and 16-bit. I might give it a try one of these days.

Speaking of Metroidvanias, Dead Cells is really fun and really great.

 

But fuck, does it get frustrating as all hell at 2 Boss Cells, never mind whatever the fuck 5 is gonna do.

I should play Dead Cells, I just know I'll suck at it. 

 

This also looks pretty cool and is now on my radar. Hopefully I'll actually play it after I buy it unlike Dead Cells.
