Commissar SFLUFAN
Ukrainian comedian Volodymyr Zelensky has won a run-off election to become the country's next president, exit polls suggest. The 41-year-old is best known for starring in a political satirical drama in which his character accidentally becomes Ukrainian president. Spawn_of_Apathy
Is that the Ukrainian version of the movie ‘Man of the Year’?
CayceG
It was also very not close. Green is the portion of votes the comedian got. Red is Poroshenko, the current president: Basically, everything in the west is a Poroshenko stronghold. But he lost all those areas by BIG margins. A lot of these regions are big surprises for him to lose. I really should check out Zelenzkiy's show. Maybe it will be insight into how he governs! MarSolo
At this point, the Democrats should tell everyone to fuck off and have Kevin Spacey or Julia-Louis Dreyfus run for President.
Greatoneshere
Comedians actually tend to be very woke, politically speaking. Not sure that helps one govern, but it can't hurt compared to previous Ukrainian presidents.
