atom631
Well, almost 10. Shes really into fantasy - LOTR, Harry Potter. Something along those lines would be great. Even better if my 8 yr old can play too.
Slug
How did I not see this?! I highly recommend Mice & Mystics. It's right in the wheel house for that age range and fun as hell, plus it's in that fantasy theme that she likes. Also Splendor for a quick simple game. Also King of Tokyo because SMASH. Alpha1Cowboy
Castle Panic....my kids 9-15 love it....and you can even play it solo.
AbsolutSurgen
3 options: I've been playing Smash Up with my 9 and 11 year old boys -- and they both love it. They really get into the themes -- and all have their favourite factions (based primarily on the art) -- where else can you mix dinosaurs and zombies together? We've been playing Labyrinth with them for several years, and it's really easy to understand for younger children. We've played a few games of Exploding Kittens. And it's been fun, and easy to pick up for the kids. (Although the "stealing" of cards from other players hands can sometimes be off-putting to younger kids.) Littleronin
Video Game High School is another. And a side option to the fantastic Mice & Mystics is the side story game Tail Feathers. It is a 1v1 game set in the universe.
Mercury33
I’ll second the Mice and Mystics recommendation. I’ve been playing with my wife and it’s a BLAST! Theres also a Harry Potter game whose exact name escapes me that plays very similar to Mice and Mystics that we really like too.
