skillzdadirecta
Battle Royal Quote Dark Souls creator and From Software Director Hidetaka Miyazaki reveals he's got his eye on the Battle Royale genre. Miyazaki, best known for his work on such titles as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, has revealed that he’s not only been keeping tabs on the Battle Royale and Live Services phenomenon, but that he’d “love to take a crack at them some day." In an interview with Telegraph, when asked if he and From Software would consider taking on gaming’s fastest growing genres, he said “There’s always the possibility.” He went on to remark that, “These games are definitely fun,” and, “If we did it, it might be a bit different! But we’re definitely interested and there’s definitely that possibility in the future. We’d love to take a crack at them some day."
Bacon
I have had the urge to try Apex a few times, but I haven't. If there was a From BR I'd prolly finally try a BR game.
Chris-
Pretty sure data miners found a scrapped BR-like mode in DS3.
Spawn_of_Apathy
It would be the first BR game where nobody survives. It it will be like Ninja Warrior, only 1 winner per season, if we’re lucky.
Amazatron
Tried Apex Legends a few times, extremely polished and well done. Except most of my games were spent wandering around the map looting random crap without any contact with other teams for like 10 minutes. Immediately realized why I dislike the genre. Mr.Vic20
I’m torn on this one. One the one hand, fuck this, but also on the the other hand, fuck that!

You drop near people take their loot. Hunt down people and take their loot. Play it differently.

Brick
A Dark Souls battle royale would certainly be interesting. Melee combat focused would be different enough.

The Chivalry devs could probably incorporate this sooner than From.
