As the possibility grows of Britain’s crashing out with no deal, so, too, does the likelihood of the reimposition of a hard border with the Irish Republic that many people see as a dire threat to peace and stability.

 

It will be the supreme irony if a post-Brexit United Kingdom solely consists of England and Wales.

Is Wales even actually severable at this point the way Scotland and Northern Ireland are?

It severable in the sense that there could be demarcated border between an independent Wales and England. 

 

But financially speaking, I have no idea what an independent Wales would have for an economic base.
