nublood
EA: Hey guys! Let's piss off some gamers today! Bethesda: HA! We already did! Activision: Hold my beer.
Commissar SFLUFAN
It turned out to be rather embarrassing bug that was quickly corrected
Paperclyp
CoD needs to get with the times and stop charging for maps. Then I’d consider buying your dumb season pass.
Hurdyb1
Are you serious? Wow
Biggie
I always buy the season pass. I mean why wouldn’t you? If you are going to play it for hundreds of hours (which I do ) you might as well enjoy all the maps.
Keyser_Soze
Charging for maps is dumb because it segments the player base. They need to figure out a new reason to have a season pass. All this shows you is how few people you can play new maps with.
RedSoxFan9
They shouldn't bother selling the base version.

Rainbow Six: Siege already provides a perfectly viable monetization model that can easily be followed by CoD.

They are too proud to copy, it will also take them several years to come around on it.

What's the monetization model for Siege?

There are cosmetic microtransactions that can be purchased in the in-game store using the game's currency known as "Renown" as well as an optional currence known as "R6 credits" and season passes that include operators and XP boosts. You can grind for operators as well. But all maps are free.
