Hey look, Hyde from That 70's Show is a rapist.

Oh yeah, this has been going on for years. It's why he was killed off "The Ranch".

The Mom and Overboard star says celebrated filmmaker Ivan Reitman "slapped my ass" and left her feeling "humiliated".

A slapped ass made her feel humiliated? Hmm...I guess...

I mean your boss slapping your ass in front of co-workers is out of line especially in this day and age.  Also there was mor to it than just what is in the headline post

Quote

Anna Faris has claimed that the late director Ivan Reitman inappropriately touched her on the set of their 2006 rom-com My Super Ex Girlfriend.

Speaking on her podcast Unqualified, the actress disclosed that Reitman “slapped my ass” during the production and on her first day “yelled” at her, leaving her feeling “angry, hurt and humiliated.”

During a candid conversation with actress and filmmaker Lena Dunham, Faris said: “One of my hardest film experiences was with Ivan Reitman. I mean, the idea of attempting to make a comedy under this, like, reign of terror, he was a yeller. He would bring down somebody every day…and my first day, it was me.”

I've worked with bosses like this who would target different people to fuck with on any given day so I definitely believe her. I think it's strategy that is pretty common in the TV and Film business to assert dominance and power because I've seen it A LOT.

I understand. I believe her and you make a good point about

"I mean your boss slapping your ass in front of co-workers is out of line especially in this day and age".

Still, this is very light compared to other stories out there but that absolutely doesn't make it right or easy for her to handle it. My personality is so far away from that bully mentality I just almost find it hard to believe. I never seen or experienced anything like this either. I understand it happens and it's gross.

It's all about context and when you hear her talk about the whole experience of working for him aside from the ass slapping incident, it sounds like he was power tripping and looking to humilate her and others in order to assert his dominance. And at the time, 2006, she was pretty young and new to the business and he was a legendary director at that point so it definitely tracks that she would be humiliated if he's yelling at her and slapping her ass and shit. Plus she said he targeted her on her first day.

A person in power and authority, particularly one who could spread gossip that you’re “difficult” or any of the other things these clowns do, exerting that power over you and your body in front of all your co-workers is indeed a potentially humiliating moment. No need to invalidate a person’s feelings about what happened to them just because you believe you wouldn’t be bothered by it

Honestly, the entertainment industry generally encourages bad behaviour and covering things up. All of these people have managers, agents, etc who only get paid if their client gets paid, so a whole cycle of negative behaviour gets reinforced.

I was thinking about this when Lil Peep died. He even wanted to take a break from touring to sober up, then when that wasn't an option, he wanted to hire a tour manager that would basically babysit the tour bus so they could manage all the drugs coming through. His manager was basically like "no" and the tour manager ended up being a massive enabler. He OD'd and died a couple weeks into the tour.

Like... These are people with problems that need treatment, but as long as they're surrounded by enablers who see them as ATMs, they won't change.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has been accused of sexual assault of a minor in a lawsuit filed this week in Los Angeles.

I want this action to expose an industry that protects celebrity offenders, to cleanse and hold accountable an industry that both exploited and allowed me to be exploited for years, along with so many other naïve and vulnerable kids and adults,” Holcomb said in a statement regarding her suit.

Apparently her parents signed over custody so that she could go on tour with him. Yikes.

yep dude is a big time pedophile, about damn time. Rock stars need further reckoning for their weirdly accepted for way too long pedophilia.

This was back when they literally wrote songs about fucking 14 year olds and people are shocked that they, like... fucked 14 year olds.

In a new documentary premiered at Sundance, Wood claimed she was ‘coerced into a commercial sex act under false pretences’

So the co-collaborator & bestie of E.R.W. has come forward to say that she was coerced by Wood to make these claims alongside her against Manson. She has now officially recanted her statement. Apparently, E.R.W. played this same game w/ her former mate & father of their child, Jamie Bell in terms of gaining custody as well.

"I became your guardian so I could fuck you" is not the defense you think it is, Steven.

It's pretty hilarious what these people think constitutes a "defense". First Jonathan Majors' lawyer releases texts that make him look worse, not better, than Steven Tyler says this.

I'm not sure how some people still don't understand something basic like age of consent laws, verbal consent agreements when it comes to doing physical things with another person, and that you don't want a weird/large age gap with someone you are with ala Leonardo DiCaprio (because of the bad psychological power dynamics it inherently typically creates). Easy rules, not hard to follow. But apparently it is.

Even young famous people can't seem to do it: James Franco, Armie Hammer, Ezra Miller, Jonathan Majors, etc. It's not just old ones like Steven Tyler, Johnny Depp, and so on.
