With Avengers 3 they purposefully mislead us with the trailers, and I think for 4 they will do the same, but in this case by ONLY showing the survivors + Captain Marvel (if they even show her). Parts of Tony’s nano suit can come off, Thanos broke off the sword Tony made and stabbed him with it, so... don’t see why it’s an issue for his helmet to be like that. The nanotechnology builds the suit and helmet into a solid object so it can be damaged or removed. The nanotechnology repairs the suit when it gets damaged.
