Democrats are being more effective and the analysis in this thread has been the strangest analysis I've read.

Mitch McConnell is going to call a vote early next week on Trump’s proposal.

He really is a special kind of shitbird.

Let the Senate vote and pass this proposal.  Then once it gets brought to the House, amend the bill for permant DACA.  Pass in the House and send back to the Senate to vote on the amended bill.  If McConnell refuses to hold a vote, or Trump vetos the approved bill, then it puts the blame right back on Trump or the GOP

Dems need to play this kind of ball.

Also put in some riders to take $10B out other social programs. Little things like expanding medicare. Pissing Trump off even more that his $25B is shrinking.

Lol in what world does this pass the Senate? The one where McConnell kills the 60 vote threshold? Cause there's no way in hell he will use reconsciliation, and there's 1-2 Dems that they might be able to get, but 4-5 Republican senators up in 2020 in relatively purple States

Don't forget the deep red GOP senators who don't want to be called Rinos.

Trump retards won’t even notice if the *GOP controlled senate* doesn’t pass it. They’ll just know it didn’t get passed and still blame democrats like they have the past two years. We are in hell.

Only Donald Trump could manage to get backed into a corner in the Oval Office.

Every single pollster currently has him sub 40% approval, except for you know, Rasmussen and Harris which is just a poll Rasmussen pays for, lol.

At this rate I’m wondering if some calamity needs to happen for the impasse to end.  Like a mass E. coli outbreak that results in fatalities due to a closed FDA, or the shutdown of a major airport.  It doesn’t seem like the pressures felt thus far are enough to force anyone to truly bargain.  Both sides are more or less talking (or in Trump’s case, tweeting) past each other now, playing chicken with the train.

Yeah, it's too bad our E. Coli outbreak happened a month before the shutdown.

Why fold, Amnesty is coming!

Is that a real Tweet? Why would he signal that he's open to amnesty for something bigger? That makes no sense... what kind of deal making is this?!

Compared to infant formula, almost everything is inexpensive. The cost of raising kids is too damn high

That said, there are ways to eat cheaply without sacrificing nutrition, and ramen (alone) isn't one of them

Burger King has 10 nuggs for a buck.  That's a pretty good deal and probably healthier than ramen.
