Greatoneshere
I'm excited for this reboot. I really like director Neil Marshall. While del Toro's two movies were good (not great), I felt they were a little too PG-rated for Hellboy.

I think Hellboy 2 is legitimately great, and I think it was the best Star Wars movie to come out since Empire until The Last Jedi released. I know a lot of people really like Hellboy (particularly Hellboy 2). I enjoyed them, but not much more than that. I've shown both movies to a number of people and no one really goes gaga for them. But I do think they are good, above average movies. But I realize online people really love those two movies.

It’s tropey, it has some issues, but I think it does a really great job of selling its “world” without straight up beating your over the head with it, which is pretty hard to do. Hellboy 2 is definitely better than Hellboy 1, I agree. I also hate Hellboy 2's ending, though many love it I know (the last paused shot, I mean). The very absolute last shot of the film right before the credits. The movie pauses on Hellboy's face after he learns a certain big truth and then cut to credits. It's so random and cheesy (if I recall correctly).

Yeah it’s a bit Velveeta, there’s no way around that.

Yeah, I mean, still a good movie (for me), and I don't begrudge anyone who really likes it, lot of cool stuff in it.

I was sorta lukewarm about the first one but it wasn't until I viewed it a second time I really grew to like the movie. Personally I was blown away when I saw Hellboy 2, it's great.
