I'm compiling GOTY awards from media outlets (getting plenty of help from this blog, definitely visit to give them some hits), and I'm going to do a big D1P GOTY thing for 2018. The games HAD to have been released in 2018. Voting will end January 31st, 11:59PM ET. This will give people the time to finish playing games that came out this fall, catch up on what they missed earlier this year, and just let time pass to get over the 'new' smell of the fall games. It's not perfect since none of us played everything, but it can't ever be perfect, so whatever. Rank your games like this: 1. Game A : 4 points 2. Game B : 3 points 3. Game C : 3 points 4. Game D : 2 points 5. Game E : 2 points 6. Game F : 2 points 7. Game G : 1 point 8. Game H : 1 point 9. Game I : 1 point 10. Game J : 1 point You can change the order as many times as you want until the deadline. I'll tally up all the points and make a 2018 GOTY thread in February. Shadow of the Tomb Raider 5. SCUM 6. State of Decay 2 That's all I've beaten that has come out this year. I beat other games but they were leftovers from last year or previous years. That's one I'd be interested in getting whenever I get a Switch. My first games would be Zelda/Mario (or possibly the core Pokemon RPG if it knocks it out of the park). So you are going to decide this based on if you want to add a game to your list or not? :P For me it will change my list because of Hollow Knight and Ys8 on switch. Also since they redid the translation this year for Ys8 this year seems to be a proper year to include it. Hollow Knight is also now officially “complete” this year. Hollow Knight (switch) 9. Forza Horizon 4 10. West of Loathing Will have to edit order (especially if ys8 and hollow knight don’t count) and I’m sure something gets bumped once I get to AC Odyssey. Also enjoying Just cause 4 a lot and who knows maybe it could sneak in. Same with Tomb Raider and Pokemon let’s go. Smash I’m pretty sure will go up the list.
