Why spend time attacking a 5th tier candidate? Now I know about him

Nothing is too petty for Bernie.

Who gives a shit about twenty years ago when she was a private citizen?

Black people might have a few reasons to care about why somebody was a registered Republican during the Reagan administration.

Isn’t that the question being asked though? They even ask “so, did you just grow up in a Republican family?” They were giving her the room to explain where she was at the time and it was pretty much a non-answer. In the time period we are talking about, she was a fully grown woman of exceptional educational pedigree. The notion that she was a Republican for no reason at all is beyond questionable.

She gave some answer as to why she moved in the direction of the Dems though, which is something.

What a buffoon. I 100% agree that the selection process should be changed to something more similar to what Canada has (where a bureaucratic committee shortlists qualified candidates, and the leader chooses from this list, generally), but his idea is stupid.

I'm all for court packing, but we need to realize that 1) judges and justices ARE partisan, and 2) asking partisan justices to pick additional justices is how we got Kavanaugh.

If elections are good enough for State AG's and State Supreme Courts (debatable but I don't have any better ideas), then they are good enough for national level!

Yeah, but...they shouldn't be used for any judge.

As Sanders Reprises His Greatest Hits, Elizabeth Warren Is Surging

Elizabeth Warren had an impressive weekend. She went to Oakland, hometown of Kamala Harris, and drew 6,500 people. She went to the California Democratic Party Convention and drew headlines for taking not-so-veiled shots at frontrunner Joe Biden: “Some say if we all calm down, the Republicans will come to their senses. But our country is in crisis. The time for small ideas is over.” Those two stops, in front of thousands of voters and hordes of political media, capped a formidable month for Warren, whose chances seemed dim after an underwhelming, beer-drinking New Year’s Eve campaign launch. But an old-fashioned dedication to retail politics is paying dividends. Warren spent last year taking questions in middle schools and at cookouts, from people in Worcester and Pittsfield and Gloucester and Dorchester and Harwich and Salem—doing 38 town halls in all, during a senate reelection race she won in a landslide, when barely any political reporters were paying attention. Now, as Bernie Sanders stalls in national polling, Warren appears to be rebounding.

Warren lost a twitter battle with Trump when she made her dopey 23andMe video. She needs better advisers if she’s going to run a general election campaign against him.
