Is it wrong that I teared up at the end of Return of the King?

Is the LOTR the greatest trilogy ever?

No. Yes. Now watch all 3 extended editions back to back to back. You’ll thank me.

Oh I have. I own all three extended versions. I just haven't seen these movies in a long time.

Even after watching that movie no doubt at least 30 times, it gets me every time. And  yes, it's the best trilogy ever. I might be biased though.  :p

Tbh it's the beautiful music that takes it to another level.

Moana 2 - 7/10

This was much better than I was expecting given its production history and lack of Miranda. The story was fun and makes sense. It doesn’t make the sequel mistake of leaning too much into the side characters from the first film. This is still very much Moana’s story. Although I could have used significantly more screen time for the coconut guy 😂.  The music was ok. This was always going to be a let down. The songs weren’t bad at all just not on the level of the first one. The one stand out for me was Maui’s song which imo was better than You’re Welcome. There’s a little mid credit stinger which is absolutely worth staying for. Fun time and not even close to the disaster it could I’ve been.

All I have to do is watch the "you bow to no one" scene and I go to tears. Even though I've seen it probably a hundred times.

I was watching a reaction video today of ROTK and the woman watching broke down in tears at that very line!

American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez - 9/10.

Honestly got a lot of feels with this one. I think they did well with it, depicting Hernandez as a troubled and angry young guy with immense talent, enabled by the people around him and a guy who just refused to ditch the gangster shit. And it really hits the nail on the head regarding my conflicted feelings with football. America's most popular sport watches these young man do irreparable damage to their bodies and minds and we're just content to forget about them once they've outlived their usefulness.

Jackass the movie is on the Criterion Channel so I watched it for the first time in probably 15 years.

I don’t think there is a funnier line than “Is Butterbean ok?”

This is WILD, but I love it!

Dude I never seen the movies so I looked this up on YouTube. Knoxville literally got knocked out. That takes serious balls and stupidity.

I'm very familiar with the show.

High Kick Girl: 5/10

That's right I'm back watching movies again. This one is not so great. It's about a girl that wants to be strong so she goes around beating people up. Eventually she seeks acceptance from a hitman group known as the destroyers and as a result she becomes bait for her sensei and then the movie is about him coming to rescue them. So the movie should be known as half high kick girl and then the rest is karate guy. It's very light on plot elements. These destroyers want to kill (?) the sensei because of something from 15 years ago, but we never know what that is, so why do we care? There's a lot of action and fight sequences but they are mostly ho hum. There is a cool fight scene where a lady does a lot of backflips but other than that it's very staged looking fighting. The actors don't sell the hits very well and it becomes even more obvious because they replay the majority of the fights (yes like an instant replay) in slow motion. So you can see the people bracing for impact. It's a movie that proves you can make a movie based on an idea but that idea isn't necessarily entertaining.

It’s been 80mph wind in the Isle of Man today so it’s been a day spent indoor. Up at 5am with the daughter so we watched Muppets Treasure Island which she loved and now staying up late to watch Hook, thus far she’s also a fan.
