XBA, my heart burst out of my shirt off the bat. Heckuva game by Skubal, he showed why he is going to be the unanimous Cy Young. I love how Joe Espada used one of the Astros starters, Ronel Blanco, to hold things over after Framber just didn’t quite have it. And you just can’t be too upset when your squad has the game winning runs on the bases in the bottom of the 9th. Two unlucky line outs sunk the comeback. Ready to head back to Minute Maid tomorrow!

I have a hard time believing someone who loved winning and gave it his all would bet on himself to lose. His ego was huge. Doesn’t make it right but I think he deserves in the HoF.

sblfilms
Congrats to @Ominous and your boys. Very happy for AJ Hinch, who got to celebrate on Jim Crane’s field after being fired by him. Hard to believe the Astros even made the playoffs with most of their starting pitchers on the IL, and their best player missing 3 months. The series was a good example of what I was concerned about. The Astros had plenty of pitching, but the least timely offense during these last 8 years. Were it not for the questionable move by Hinch to bring in Jobe, they probably get blanked today. I am glad I can now enjoy the rest of the playoffs without the stress of my favorite team playing. I think these last 8 seasons have taken years off my life, lol.

sblfilms
Down goes Baltimore. Higher seeded teams are 0-2 in the WC so far. Let’s see if the Mets can keep that going.
sblfilms
Also, I’m wondering how long before the owners try to make the WC round 5 game series. Since this format, all but one WC has been a two game sweep. Not getting enough extra gate and TV revenue.
