Wrong:

A cluster of CUCKS.

A colony of cucks. A nest of Nazis. A gaggle of grifters. A pandemonium of proud boys. A Sounder of shitheads. A litter of liars. A shrewdness of the shrewd-less. A business of blow hards.

They're a group of dumb, racist animals.

I think another casualty of the Trump era is cucks.

Being compared to people like Ted Cruz and Lyndsey Grahmn is a real disservice to guys who simply enjoy drinking another man's semen dripping out of his wife's pussy.

One is degrading and makes you wonder what the hell goes through their minds when they decided to debase themselves like that, the other is a fetish.

Not 9/11? I know seven years is a long time, but that was pretty big, and what got me interested.

On a surface level, maybe?

I have been passionate about political topics like gay rights and reproductive freedom since even before then.

I certainly had positions on our actions after 9/11.

Obama's election is when I started to seek out discussion about politics rather then just, say, click on a thread now and then if it was about gay marriage or climate change.

I will say my interest wasn't only in Obama. I had long been opposed to Bush, so a big factor in my interest was also just seeing Bush to the door. Put it this way, I was against Bush for the war in Iraq, but I couldn't have told you a damn thing about his push to privatize Social Security at the time.

Hope can get people interested in politics where fear or anger could not have the same result.

I say "can" and "could", because well Trump is what happens when anger and fear DOES get people involved in politics.

I like this discussion!

I was interested in politics for a while since my dad watched the news so often, but it wasn't until a simple government course really made sense of everything (why we get two Senators, what a district and rep are, who draws districts, what the ideologies are, the judicial process, etc.) that things started to click. I knew vaguely about Congress but not really how it operated and the history behind it, and nobody made sense of it to me until that one professor. I started reading political things just for fun. 2006 was my first big election which I was able to vote, and during 2008, I looked up videos and history about previous elections, trying to draw parallels if there were any.

I get excited whenever one of my friends starts doing the same thing. :p
