Commissar SFLUFAN
Boeing has sent instructions to airlines using its 737 Max jet about how pilots should react to erroneous readings from sensors, an issue investigators believe was a key factor in the Lion Air crash in Indonesia, in which all 189 people on board were killed. TwinIon
So they had a malfunctioning instrument for the last 4 flights of this plane, and they knew it was a problem even before they took off on the flight that crashed. Yeah, it's on Boeing that they're having continued problems with a critical instrument on brand new planes, but it also seems to me that this airline was being cheap by not fixing it and the pilot shouldn't have flown knowing it was broken. Airlines have the ability to get these kinds of things fixed incredibly quickly, as long as they pay for it.
