I can barely contain my disgust when I go into a patient's room and they're watching Hannity or whatever Fox garbage is on. I rush through what I have to do and I'm out. I can't even tolerate a minute of that shit.

Left-wing mainstream liberal media propaganda machine.

I hate that I know that.

I also watch 15-20 minutes of Hannity, Tucker, and Ingraham a night.

It's complicated, and I constantly ask myself if I'm just adding fuel to their ratings and clicks. But the genesis is as follows: my parents are yuge Trump supporters. Red meat, Fox News, "the base" Trump supporters, as are my mother and father-in-law. I wish we could have high level policy discussions, but it just doesn't happen. My hope (hope) is (was) that by consuming a bit of the media they consume, I'll be better able to understand their positions, and also be able to weed out which opinions are actually theirs, and which are repeated.

There's also the fact I'm a contrarian by nature, so watching and reading Fox News gets me aroused in a way I just cannot explain.

I'm so sorry. :(

It's weird, because growing up, my parents were what I would call (at least in the Pacific Northwest) evangelical Christians. Pat Robertson, Focus on the Family, single issue Republicans. I was only 12 when Clinton was impeached, but I remember overhearing conversations about morality, and when voting for Republicans, my dad would always say "if he is pro-life and a good Christian man, I trust him on other issues I may not agree with."

It's insane how Trump has completely seized the Republican Party in just 3 years. He's literally infected the minds of the people I know.

Honestly this just makes Avenatti look better, IMO. Not only did he not brag in any way but he also thanked his defenders, and identified a major contributor to the violence while not saying that he would be the one to bring him to justice. +1 for Avenatti. He's probably still in the red overall, but.... you know. :p

wow Ted got the signal that not knowing how things work is fine and he RAN with it

Are you trying to say their violence committed while wearing masks shouldn’t be investigated? Attacks like the one on Andy Ngo are disgusting. Regardless of the side, violence isn’t ok.
