chakoo Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 I know I talked about this in the Playstation pro thread but I'm still shocked I have this (came in yesterday) with all the fuckery between me and Walmart. Also, I've got like 5 switch games stuck waiting for the Canadian postal strike to end (orders from PNP & VGP). I think for the most part I'm done, barring 1 or 2 other games if they go on sale. 1 1 Quote
Paperclyp Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Bought a PSVR2… tried GT7 which was a primary reason I got it… was blown away by it, then promptly made about as motion sick as possible. Think she’s gotta go back. 4 Quote

Think she’s gotta go back. That's really unfortunate. I'm kinda in the same boat as you with my quest 3. I was perfectly fine using it initially but then I started getting sick from it. I haven't used it in like 2 months. But yea, I heard GT7 is incredible on PSVR2. Quote

I've never had trouble with like the warp feature that most like FPS games use, but I was really hoping GT7 would be viable for me. It just makes me concerned for other games for a $350 investment + I'd get the PC dongle. Oh well. Glad I tried it, now I don't have to think about it anymore. 1 Quote
chakoo Posted November 29 Author Posted November 29 Any new gets? I grabbed Sand Land for PS4. I find it interesting that when buying cross-gen games, I always make sure to buy the PS4 version over the PS5 even though I have one (Sure it's the digital ed but I plan to replace it for a disc model in the future). Yet I don't think publishers care to stock too many copies for the PS4 and in some cases, those versions become impossible to find (Like a dragon ishin or visions of mana). Quote
Paperclyp Posted November 29 Posted November 29 I got prince of Persia for 15 bucks and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth for $25. Very tempted to get metaphor but I promised myself I’d finish persona 5 first. 1 Quote

I had to drop it after it got out of hand. Quote

Mercury33 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Dragon Age is annoying me so I’m putting that on the shelf for a bit. I was just scrolling through the PS Store looking at what was coming up and stopped on Song of Silence. Watched the trailer and checked a review and decided to just buy it blind($30). Oh man am I loving it! It’s 4x sorta. There’s no diplomacy so far. But in its place you get to watch the battles play out. It’s an auto battler but also a deck builder, you play the cards for different abilities in combat or summoning units. The art style is stunning, the music is nice and the story seems interesting enough. Doesn’t get any better as a Portal or Steam Deck game either. 1 Quote
Paperclyp Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I feel like I should update - the VR has a rather long return window so I decided to try out a few other things. Turns out I was being too hasty jumping to conclusions with my initial experience. I’ve tried out several games since the initial nausea episode without any more nausea, and I think this thing is sort of amazing. The game that surprised me was No Man’s Sky. I can’t believe how cool that game is in VR, and it’s not compromised in any way other than the controls being a bit clunky (er) than the controller pad can muster. The sensation of digging with your multi-tool is incredible. I also tried out Rez and Thumper - and my god Thumper is like a religious experience. Amazing game in VR. I am going to get the adapter for PC so I can play through Alyx, which I hear is pretty good even using the adapter. Edit: Oh and I think GT 7 is a viable as well, I just need to lean back against the couch so I have a little more sensory feedback about where my body is. 1 Quote
Slug Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I want going to buy anything but I couldn't pass up Civ 6 on Steam for $6. Quote
EternallDarkness Posted December 1 Posted December 1 didn't think I was going to pick up anything, but then logged on to my ps4 (first time in more than 6 months) and noticed I still had credit, sadly not enough for Metaphor but then noticed Midnight Suns was on sale so I snagged that. So far I think it's pretty good. Quote

I'm tempted in buying the new Batman "Batman: Arkham Shadow". It was just released and is exclusive to the Meta Quest 3. It reviewed really well. Also, please play Half-Life: Alyx. It's considered by many the greatest VR game ever. I can't play it so that is one game I'm jelly of. Quote
Commissar SFLUFAN Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I decided to take advantage of the 25% discount on the Vessel of Hatred expansion for Diablo IV. 1 2 Quote

legend Posted Monday at 02:30 PM Posted Monday at 02:30 PM So far I've only bought a handful of games on steep discounts: Marsupilami Nordic Warriors Crab Champions Hogwarts Legacy But instead I've been tending to my backlog playing through Sea of Stars, but now with its excellent coop mode with my wife. I want to emphasize what an amazing game it is. This game is the quintessential example of what a retro game should be. Not one that replicates what retro games were, but what your memory of them is. The art is inspired by the art style of the past, but given new life from modern technology rather than replicating constraints of the past. The same goes for the gameplay have much better quality of life features. Far too many retro game developers fail to understand this distinction, but Sabotage has nailed it. And since it's on sale, you all should get it! 1 Quote

The bonus free DLC world is especially great. Quote

But what I played was still pleasant. Quote
