SaysWho?
U.S., Egypt and Qatar call for "urgent talks" next week to reach Israel-Hamas cease-fire deal WWW.CBSNEWS.COM "We are as close as we think we have ever been," said National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby. Quote In a joint statement, President Biden, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Qatar's Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani urged both parties "to resume urgent discussion" on Aug. 15 "to close all remaining gaps and commence implementation of the deal without further delay." "It is time to bring immediate relief both to the long-suffering people of Gaza as well as the long-suffering hostages and their families," the statement said, urging Israel and Hamas to refrain from further delays. "The time has come to conclude the ceasefire and hostages and detainees release deal." The U.S., Egypt and Qatar have been mediating the previous cease-fire discussions. Thursday's joint statement came hours after the White House said Israel-Hamas cease-fire talks are "close" and amid fears of a widening Middle East war following high-profile assassinations of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Commissar SFLUFAN
That's very nice and all, but what if either the Israelis or Hamas say, "OLOLOLOLOLONOLOLOLOLO", then what? What's the "or else" part of this "demand"?

Greatoneshere
Not sure how effective this is without Iran and Lebanon involved. 1

Biden, if you are reading this, and I know you probably are, I would pick up the phone if you called. Any time of the day, any day of the week. Jwheel86
Hijacking this thread... My sister sent me a Bari Weiss podcast on the Middle East because she wanted my thoughts... I'm only 30 minutes in and, I knew she was dumb, but I had no idea she and her guest were this dumb. Apparently the Golon Heights is 1914 Belgium, reporters didn't write about the attack on the soccer field because they're brainwashed, and Iran doesn't have a war because it wants to "save Hezbollah to open a second front to save the Iranian regime".

Bari Weiss is a complete fraud of a “journalist” and an absolute jackass. I often can’t tell if she’s trying to play some type of character or if she honestly believes most of the BS she says.
