stepee
Like the exact same package. Remaster them all in widescreen, anniversary mode with extra characters and animated beginning/ending cinemas added, mission mode, unlock-able illustrations and movies, and all the original gameboy games including Warioland. And just all the other little flourishes that Origins has. I think it’s funny how I heard a lot of people say $40 was too much to launch that with but could you even imagine Nintendo doing anything close to this for even $70? It’s funny how Sega can do this but for Nintendo it’s like this hugely ridiculous ask to put this much effort into a package. But fuck I would love it so bad. Bacon
Kinda off-topic, but the All-Stars version of Mario 3 is so much better than the shitty NES version I didn't even know there was an NES version until I saw The Wizard. Back on topic. There has never been a good Sonic game so it makes sense there is no "All-Star" version.

Sonic Origins Plus is a modern remaster of the genesis games. They didn’t do an all-stars back then because the core series started on Genesis, not SMS. The whole point of the topic is Nintendo won’t give classic Mario a modern collection as good as Origins Plus. So since Sonic is the one who has the great modern collection, that would actually mean Mario would suck per that logic. I like playing the classic Mario games on nes sometimes but yea I didn’t have them as a kid as we had a SMS so All-Stars is my jam.

Yes the levels themselves are great, but unless you subbed to Nintendo power or called the tip line or some shit and knew where the warp whistles are, it’s a 4 - 5 hour game without saves or passwords. Terrible. 1
