The events of the last couple of weeks have never made this quote from Vladimir Lenin seem more prescient

Since 2001 we’ve had 9/11, the Iraq War, a worldwide pandemic, the War in Gaza…

It’s exhausting.

2008 wasn’t a great year either with the recession and all. And then Jersey Shore in 2009.

America before 1492 was pretty great.

You joke, but it was pretty shit then too.  There were constant wars between tribes and factions.  The best time humanity has ever had is the present in so many ways.

Yo, 1980s is a weird one to come up with considering someone shot Reagan right in the street. :p

Like I said, I wasn't really paying attention. I was into drugs and partying.  Did Reagan survive?

I have to say, being out in public is just slightly nerve wracking at the moment.

Buddy, I went to the City of Alexandria's birthday fireworks show last night which was really crowded and my head was on a swivel the entire time.

My daughter was in DC for the Youth Tour thing that High Schools do yearly.. it definitely gave me pause..  As always I remain vigilant in public spaces to the detriment of actual enjoyment.. I am aware that is not the way to live and that its an overreaction.. but as an introvert it all stacks up
