Absolutely loving this game. The freedom and creativity to solve puzzles is exquisite. You can play it like a mostly standard Zelda game, too, if that's your thing, but solving puzzles in stupid ways like I did here is what I'm 100000% here for:

This kind of stuff delights me! Such silly mechanics make for a very fun time.

Yup, I'm having a hard time following the story once I realized I can just wander anywhere. I found myself facing a level 3 Lizalfos before I ever even encountered a level 2. I did beat it, but now I'm too low of a level to summon it.

really enjoying this, just wish the echo management weren't so chunky, though I am not sure how they could have streamline it, unless there were a way to map a few echoes for quick access

It really needed to let you scroll up and down between an All and a Favorites section.

Not seeing all the ass you're talking about. Minus an occasional stutter coming out of the pause menu it's ran solid for me

Interesting. Brian never makes a negative comment on a Nintendo game unless it's a valid complaint.

I remember playing The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on my Switch and it suffered from a bad framerate.

The framerate in the overworld is really choppy. It yo-yos from 60 to 30 constantly. Link's Awakening had a similar issue but this feels worse to me.

DF points it out at 4:30.   I agree with DF that a locked 30 fps should have been an option.

I knew there were framerate issues in the other top down Zelda.

But Nintendo honestly doesn't give two fucks about tech as we all know. So choppy framerates are just a given most times. And not in one review that I read mentions framerate issues.  🙄
