Yea. You have to beat it in the cave and then make the Village Queen turn into him and fight him again.

My main is level 25 and have a level 15 Sage and it wasn't that bad. I have a routine of buffs I start out with that hasnt failed me yet on bosses. About 20 hrs in and have only wiped once on the Robin O'od second fight. That's what made me go Buff Bagwell on all the other bosses

I was level 26 last night and got trashed by the 5 headed beast.

I see. I'm taking a break from this tonight. Biggie has me thinking of just lowering the difficulty when facing bosses like this one I'm at now.

No I agree. I am kinda hoping I don't have to change the difficulty if I level up one more time before facing off with that beast again.

You don't need to level up. Just need to be more strategic with your buffs and attacks. This is a staple of Dragon Quest. Have you guys not played any of the games in the series? Tell me you've played DQ8.. That game is a friggin MASTERPIECE of RPGs in almost every way

I’ve played them all. I just like taking the easy path and enjoy the game.

The only DQ game I've played was XI. I'm a complete noob to the franchise. I'll try the beast out tonight.

I think I'm pretty close to end game. Definitely one of my favorite remakes of all time. Not sure what I'll play next but I'm finishing this one before I start another one because getting close to the end and stopping and starting something else has become a problem for me. Financially speaking it's.. Uh.. Not good

It's approximately 30-35 hours. I know this because I checked when I was actively playing this.

Because I get too side tracked with other games. I was having a blast with this game then slowly started playing BG3 and then I'm now hooked on Indiana Jones. I'm a mess. :p

Dragon Quest games are almost like Madden over there. They're everywhere and generally pretty cheap. And tons of merch. Kirby and DQ merch were the most common I saw. There's a DQ bar in Tokyo, too.

 

Dammit, I wanna go back.
