stepee
I’ve definitely found that driving guitars with pop melodies is what really gets me going. I really want both at the same time. Most obvious example everyone would know is Weezer. Today it was idlewild - 100 windows - that shit gets me goinnnngggg

Mr.Vic20
The same music I listen to when I’m not working out. Music motivates me through emotions other than aggression. That’s not a knock on anyone else’s preferences mind you, I’ve just never been able to bring out my best via aggression. It’s probably because my dad was a violent tough guy, so I find tough guys and aggressiveness to be a failures of character. 1

You're acting like a tough guy but you probably wouldn't mind some aggressive hugs from me.

silentbob
I’m all over the place for music and mood depends what I wanna hear. I don’t have a gym I go to, but walking the dogs or my hour before the store opens for work. You could say I really enjoy that anthem rock. Love a good melody and then a great all out instrumental guitar and thumping bass sound of the drum. So my in play right now Anathema, Foo Fighters, Porcupine Tree, Metallica w. SFO, Above and Beyond Acoustic, Arcade Fire, Jelly Roll, Silversun Pickups and more
