Always a game I wanted to play.  I got into both the GBA and DS games for a while.  They’re worse supposedly?

Significantly. Not that they're bad games, but compared to Final Fantasy Tactics (particularly The War of the Lions edition on PSP and mobile with a new, better translation and quality of life improvements) they're nothing. But that edition has been locked to those devices, the game isn't on modern console hardware or PC (unless you emulate). So a remaster would be welcome, and I'm going to assume it will be the updated War of the Lions port that they're remastering, not the PS1 original. A remake would have been crazy, but I'll take a remaster.

Yasumi Matsuno, writer/director of such games as Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre (which just recently got a remaster with Tactics Ogre: Reborn), Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII is responsible for Final Fantasy Tactics. He had essentially nothing to do with Tactics Advance or Tactics Advance A2, hence the significant difference in quality between the original and those two spin-offs.

I haven't played it since like 2002 or something. I loved every second of it, but remember it being sort of tough for me at the time.

The balance issue was the biggest problem with the game despite it being one of my all time favorites. More than graphics a rebalancing of the game would be what I want the most.

Some of the fights are insanely hard espeically in the first half of the game however as soon as you get Orlandu everything becomes a cakewalk. Also some of the classes (like Calculator) are OP as fuck.

There were a lot of ways to become OP once you got to like chapter 3 onwards. You don't even need anything special, a team of ninjas was basically all you needed. Or a bunch of ways if you grinded JP and just made characters with all the best skills. At least in WotL they got rid of the item dupe glitch so you couldn't have a team full knights with dual excaliburs.
