stepee
Why can’t I think of a single fucking game that has inverted y axis as default?! 2
LazyPiranha
One of the best features of the PS5 is setting that option at a system level and it mostly working across titles.

LazyPiranha
I think most straight up flight games are usually inverted by default, but I haven’t played one since that Snoopy game on xbla so who knows. That game was a fucking banger, they should bring it back.

You know, until you mentioned space sims I completely forgot I played a bunch of Star Wars Squadrons, but to be perfectly honest I don’t remember if it was inverted by default. I think present ones no longer invert. I bet if I booted up Freespace 2 again, “inverted” would be default.
crispy4000
I’d like to use this thread to complain about Hat in Time’s camera. They mapped zoom in and look up to the same upward stick press. Holding it down instead zooms out and pans the camera to look down on your character from above. Truly an awful setup that really fucked with me as someone who also inverts Y. They tried to have their cake and eat it too.

Kal-El814
The Venn diagram of people who don't invert their y-axis and people who think bleach is delicious is a perfect circle. 1 1

PS5 lets you invert the camera controls in games automatically WWW.POLYGON.COM An important setting that the Xbox Series X doesn’t have

stepee
Switch lets you do this too and you can try to do it in Steam to mixed results. Idk about xbox. But that isn’t the point, I demand to be represented.

stepee
Also yeah I meant for camera control. Some games still default y axis to inverted for flight because for some reason more people operate that correctly than cameras
