I went headshots the entire time that I didn't even think about shooting their legs. :|

😂 RE staple. Takes too many bullets to put them down with head shots. Pop them in the leg a coupl Times and it blows off. Then you can run around the room safely for the most part. Just make sure you don’t let them sneak up on you.

Anyone beat it yet?

I tried it right before Kingdom Hearts came out (which is what's been keeping me away from RE2 for a spell) and didn't realize I'd be picking up no items or anything. Had used up half my ammo before realizing that it wasn't some score attack thing. :lol:

How far did you get? I just suicide-ran it and it goes on for fucking ever. I ran out of ammo halfway through and tried to brute force with a green herb defense boost just to see how far this shit goes.

 

It's my, minimum, 15th attempt and I'm not even close. I literally have zero idea how people beat this shit haha.

I made it out of the backdoor at the bottom of the heli crash fire escape, the chainlink door. That are is so absurdly littered, I just gave up for now. There's a mini-G, ten or so zombies, I don't even know. I died immediately.

Nothing is worse than the fact I'm at 13/15 Mr. Raccoons for the infinite knife reward and have no fucking idea which two I may have missed because I just kind of popped them as I went through. I didn't know the reward until way later so I didn't think it was all that crucial...turns out I really want that infinite knife.

I mean 4th Survivor. That part always fucks me and I'm so tempted to just go buckwild and unload. 

So as Hunk I think I got through that section unscathed most of the time. I used the shotty on the zombie on the side of the bridge you start on, and then MP5’d the dogs as they crossed the bridge. If you aim true they don’t take as many shots as you might think.

 

Also I had maybe a 33-50% success rate of taking no damage just sprinting across the thing, only stopping beforehand to pop that first zombie, and most of the way across to get the zombie near the end. 

 

Ammo was the least of my problems, honesty. It’s the occasionally random zombie movement in a couple sections that can really fuck you over. No clue how you clear the ending without a frag or two left, so if you’ve used them all before the last stretch... light a candle I guess. I used the magnum on two of the lickers I couldn’t avoid and just slow walked the others, then tried to be selective about where I’d shoot to stagger (pistol) or shoot to hopefully kill (shotgun) zombies. The goal should be to evade more or less everything with the few exceptions where you need to pop some rounds or a flash bang / frag. The only thing I used the MP5 for was the bridge dogs and Ivys, so... I used about 1.5 mags of MP5 ammo, tops.

 

Also for that stretch in the sewer with the two big guys (I forget what they’re called, the ones that barf the little things that swim at you) equip the knife, hug the right wall, get grabbed, then stab to get past both of them without shooting. I couldn’t figure a reliable way to get past them without doing that, but sacrificing the knife to spare heals and ammo seemed like the right call.

The biggest roadblock for me in general was the mini-G (sewer monster) on the rooftop blocking the ladder and the subsequent double lickers. Will try again after the weekend when I'm back home.

 

Thanks for all the tips though. I figured out most of these tactics so far but hugging the wall on the right with the knife equipped is a great call on those double mini-Gs in the sewer. Fucking hate them.

Most of the time I derped past that guy camping the ladder. 20% of the time I ran right into him like a moron. :| If that happened it was GG, I could never make it past. 

 

For those two lickers... as soon as you get to the bottom of the ladder, don’t run. Just walk to the next door and when you’re close to it you can sprint past the crawling zombies. The lickers won’t be fast enough to jump you if you do that and they don’t seem willing to pounce through the door.

I've only made it there three times or so thus far and each time Mr. X was right up my ass by that point. My nerves are only so strong man :ana:

Yeah he will be checking your rectal integrity at that moment for sure. Just lay off that sprint button till the last moment. :p

One time I was absolutely iron willed in not letting him spook me. I got punched in the fucking back which alerted the lickers and a massive asskicking ensued.

I appreciate what they're doing but at this point it's just annoying me when I have to take a detour around the entire station just to get back to what I was doing. 

 

By the time Mr. X appears you're pretty much done with the station anyway. You just have to ring the bell and leave.
