I still want to complete my REmake playthrough on PS4. and RE2 on Dreamcast. I will drop them all and play the new RE2 when it comes out. They have to grab to really bite and this game is crazy detailed in terms of zombie behavior, wondering about all the tactics that will come to light after playing around with it for a while. So close now ladies and gentlemen. I'm actively torn on what to do. Still knee-deep in God Of War and jot rushing that and I can't play more than one game at a time somehow. I've been trying to avoid watching videos and everything but this sounds interesting. That's too bad, imagine how satisfying blowing a zombie's face off with glass flying everywhere on top of it would've been. John Woo style. I really can't wait to fuck these things up in general though after seeing how absurdly detailed and good they were in the demo. I especially liked the whole critical shot mechanic, I'm a sucker for stuff like that with visual feedback like the changing reticle somehow. You couldn’t shoot glass or break doors and such. It feels weird for sure in the context of modern games but makes sense for a remake. I’ll be incredibly biased as I really enjoyed the first game and one of the only titles I’ve finished multiple times, but this has the chance to be my favourite game of the year. It's a remake, not a remaster. You can walk through doors casually now, as can zombies. I consider the loading door animations to be more "sacred" to classic RE design than... what, not being able to break stuff? I hope you can in the final release.
