What is the alternative to political correctness?

I simply do not believe those people exist in any discernible number to be of any relevance.  They were going to vote for the candidate with the (R) whether it was The Imbecile, Little Marco, or Lyin' Ted.  They were never going to vote for WhatsHerName to begin with.

Ultimately, I agree. But I will say this: many right-leaning folks I know seem to spit venom when they even mention "liberals." And that position of bitterness has nothing to do with actual left/right policy. They don't find slightly higher taxes or curbed military spending distasteful - it's the other shit like this. It's the PC culture, the marches, the pussy hats, the stand up comedians. It's all part of a culture that serves to divide us. I don't really know what the answer is, other than everyone shutting the fuck up every once in a while and not being so g'damned annoying all the time, but I know that this stuff isn't helping.

People claiming PC culture made them vote Republican are liars

I'm not claiming it, nor is anyone I've encountered, but if you think it's not contributing to our overall political climate and culture, then you're delusional.

I stopped using gay and retarded as adjectives. That was pretty easy. Generally speaking I don't have a problem with just being cool. I don't really get my kicks by offending people.

But did you know that you can't say crazy? It's an ableist slur. Even if you're not referring to a person, but a "crazy thing that happened to me this weekend". According to one fight I saw on Facebook, anyway. That might be an example of someone going out of their way to be offended by everything. Or maybe in a few years that will be included in the latest batch of adjectives that we don't use anymore.

It will take generations to learn to listen to and react proportionally to the cacophony that is the internet. Much of what we are seeing is simply painful adaptation from great change exploding on generations of people who are very comfortable with false world views getting to witness just how diverse and alive this planet really is. Its terrifying and overwhelming to take it all in, so many simply don't. They draw a line in the sand and say, "this is like me, and this isn't, and only one is good!"  Its a very economical way to process all the stimuli, but its hardly accurate or humanly decent, for that matter.

I one hundred percent agree with that statement.  If you don’t, you are lying to yourself.

Again you you continue to prove my point.  Now he’s alt-right for holding an opinion that pretty much everyone should hold.

This is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever read in my life.

I like Alternative  music over rap and believe most rap music to be hateful.

(And I don’t actually believe everyone else should feel the same? I was taking it to the limits. )

What was said can absolutely be said without racism being the reasons.  And that’s the point.

If you just straight up personally dislike Islam due to personal bias and upbringing, that's fine. But don't constantly criticize Islam using a phony veil of objectivism and then say utter fucking garbage like what Dawkins said. That's worse than being a straight up bigot.

No I dislike it because it’s crap as is all religion.  Personal bias has nothing to do with it.  There is a huge difference between hating a religion and hating the people of any said religion.  That’s not bigoted nor biased.

I will always criticize Islam and I will also criticize all other religions.

Dawkins was cool when he only criticized Christianity.

Dawkins claims he criticizes all religions equally and objectively. That tweet of his shows what a lie that statement is.

He does criticize all religions objectively.

All religions don’t need to be criticized equally, that’s just dumb. There are worse religions than others and should be criticized as such.  Saying that they all should be criticized equally is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

You cant criticize a religion objectively if you have a personal bias against it.

So saying he prefers one religion's bells over another religion's "aggressive sounding" call to prayer isn't personal bias?

Not at all.

Saying I prefer rock music to country’s whiny sounding music doesn’t make me biased.   It just means I prefer one thing over the other.

The real problem is that you automatically associate it with skin color and you go straight to racism.  (Which is humorous as religion =\= race) This literally only happens with people on the left and that particular religion. It’s incredible.

I prefer budism over Catholicism does that make me personally biased?    No because you perceive those religions as mostly “white”.

Dude...

Offensive.

Quote

The implication of an individual who is unfamiliar with the demands of life outside of urban settings gave rise to the definition of dude as a city slicker, or "an Easterner in the [United States] West".[1] Thus "dude" was used to describe the wealthy men of the expansion of the United States during the 19th century by ranch-and-homestead-bound settlers of the American Old West.
